Late 18th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house built on falling
ground at corner with School Road, incorporating single
storey 2-bay former workshop to N.
Random whinstone rubble with sandstone dressings.
N ELEVATION: to High Street. Off-centre door flanked by
2 windows to right, single window to left. 3 windows to
1st floor. 2 windows in workshop. 1 window to ground floor
left in gable to School Road. Sash and case windows;
12-pane glazing pattern predominating. Red pantiles,
straight skews, sandstone end.
Stacks with cornice. Skylight.
Red pantiles and swept eaves to workshop.
Previously a doorway to outer bay of workshop.
