1901 with alterations to ground floor. 2-storey; 4-bay; terraced commercial building with glazed shop frontage to both storeys to principal (W) elevation. Cast-iron arcading to 1st floor. Bracketed eaves cornice.
W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: pair of late 20th century glazed shopfronts to ground floor; both with central glazed doors. Original fascia board with dentilled and gableted cornice above; flanking gableted brackets. Glazed semicircular-arched arcading to 1st floor divided 4 pairs of arches (one to each bay); each with keyblock and supported on slender Corinthianesque columns with cast-iron spandrels; dividing mullions to each bay.
Fixed plate glass windows to principal elevation. Piended and platformed grey slate roof.
INTERIOR: not inspected (1998).
Built for T Christie (architect not named). Alterations 1912, 1943 and 1973. Unusual use of arcading at the 1st floor.
