Description

Circa 1815. Single-storey basement and attic villa. Coursed pinned rubble with advanced wings (stugged courses added

circa 1830), some openings altered. Central elegant cast-iron

columned and corniced porch, pilastered door and sidelights.

Wide single window gabled and ball finialled dormer head with

scrolled supports.

S elevation: asymmetrical 2-storey and attic. Later advanced

bay at left, tripartites. Central scrolled gabled dormerhead.

Some windows altered. Wrought-iron balustrades (a wire trellis

between light cast-iron Greek key balusters) over porch and

blocking course at N, S and W elevations. E gable blocked

due to demolition of similar adjacent villa. Piended slate

roofs and 2 ridge stacks. Sash and case windows, some with

astragals removed. Wrought-iron railings by porch. Terraced

garden contains wrought-iron railings similar to roof

balustrade. Garden wall fronted the River Tay.
