Possibly William Burn circa 1824-30, remodelling an earlier (18th century?) cottage. Rectangular random rubble-built picturesque lodge with large off-centre window to each long elevation, 1 barred, 1 blocked. Doors in gables, that no N altered from, and then returned to, a window. Later timber porch to S gable.
Slate roof with overhanging eaves and decorative bargeboarding. Tall square section stack at rear wallhead.
Set back from vermiculated gatepiers (capitals dumped in undergrowth nearby) with curved rusticated approached.
Masonry incorporates what appears to be part of a Pictish symbol stone and other ancient stones found nearby.
