The side elevations have tall lancet window openings with replacement glazing. The roof is slated with straight skews and triangular skewputts. There is an open bellcote on the apex of the southeast gable with an oculus underneath. A roughly rectangular-plan structure is attached to the rear (northwest) elevation of the former church.
The former United Free church was subdivided and converted into flats in the early 1990s (Dumfries and Galloway Council Planning Portal, reference 92/P/2/0351).
