Later 19th century. Single storey, rectangular-plan semi-detached
former railwaymen's cottages. Red brick, painted at N cottage, dark
glazed to E elevation, tooled ashlar dressings, some painted, slate roof with deep eaves and exposed rafter and purlin ends, moulded
bargeboards, corniced ashlar stacks. Multi-pane timber sash and case, and top-hopper windows.
E ELEVATION: each cottage has later out-of-character porch to centre
masking original door, window to left and right.
W ELEVATION: each cottage has window and narrow window, with later door to N cottage; outbuilding formerly to centre with rubble wall forming part of cottage wall. Former detached brick and slate wash house
converted to garage.
INTERIOR: not seen.
