Later 18th century. Single storey with loft-openings, 5-bay former stables, courtyard-plan. Rubble built; squared to entrance elevation. Square-headed window openings.
SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: advanced central pedimented bay; elliptical-arched central entrance with keystone; recessed glazed timber door with sidelights; timber panelled fanlight; quatrefoil to pediment. Pair of single windows at ground and loft height flanking.
SW, NW AND NE ELEVATIONS: not seen 1999.
Modern glazing. Slate roof with tiled ridge. Cast-iron rainwater goods.
INTERIOR: not seen 1999.
BOUNDARY WALL: low rubble boundary wall encloses site.
B-Group with Mount Charles, Mount Charles Walled Garden and 53 Greenfield Crescent (see separate listings). Converted stable block to Mount Charles. The original Mount Charles was built for Charles Dalrymple of Orangefield in the later 18th century, with a new frontage and wing added in 1829.
