Line opened 1848. Railway viaduct, 7 (1 + 5 + 1) segmental
arches carrying double track over River Annan, dry smaller
outer arches over roadways. All red ashlar, mostly channelled
and bull-faced, rusticated voussoirs continued as channelled
soffits; wide bull-nosed string course below parapets; outer
pilaster strips. Cutwaters either side.
Also in Annan Parish. Built for Glasgow, Dumfries and
Carlisle railway.
