Early 19th century 2-storey 3-bay farmhouse with additions,
and with sunk basement; courtyard steading to W built circa
1830, and apsidal horsemill. All rubble-built with red ashlar
dressings; roofs covered with graded slates.
House: 2 adjoining parallel ranges sharing common long wall,
rear (W) range may not be contemporary with front;
double-pitch piended roof; low rear wing. E elevation: gabled
central porch; basement windows linked to base course;
windows above margined; eaves/lintel band. Sash windows
throughout with 12-pane glazing; end stacks front and back.
Rear range recessed on N flank, low wing adjoins N end of W
wall.
Steading: tall L-plan range with lofts turns NE corner, with
barn (horsemill) at N), 2-bay cartshed and stable; other
ranges single storey and detached; 3-bay shed at SE built in
to slope, with cartway at basement level.
