Description

Dated 1841. 3-bay, rectangular-plan, plain gabled gothic church. Full-height, pinnacled, engaged columns flanking central entrance bay. Plastered, squared sandstone rubble. Base course. Tall stone-mullioned and transomed, bipartite, traceried pointed-arch windows. Gablet-coped skews, corbelled skewputts.

SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATIONS: 3-bay. Stopped hoodmoulds to openings. Door to centre, window to gablehead above, continuous cill course, date stone to apex of gable. Flanking engaged cluster columns terminating in pinnacles breaking eaves. Blocked parapet between pinnacles, short column to apex of gable with stone cross finial. Tall flanking windows.

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: paired windows. Urn finial to apex of gable.

SE (SIDE) ELEVATION: 3-bay, regular fenestration.

NW (SIDE) ELEVATION: mirror of SE except blocked door to outer right bay.

Diamond-pane leaded glass. Grey slates, lead flashing.

INTERIOR: whitewashed plain, gabled box.
