Description

Thomas Leper 1589, commemorating William Forbes of Tolquhon
and his wife Elizabeth Gordon, relict of S. aisle of old
church. Rich arched altar tomb mixed gothic and
Renaissance motifs inspired by Dunbar tomb at St. Machar's
Cathedral. Present pedimented setting probably of 1798.

Statement of Interest

Ecclesiastical building in use as such. Of special note

for completeness of furnishing. A stone dated MB 1613 is

built into the walls.

Guardianship monument.

These form a pleasant group round the square: Tarves as

a whole, though these are the only examples of intrinsic

merit has a very pleasant consistent granite character.
