Mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay hotel. Double-pile plan. Rendered; E elevation rubble, W elevation painted rubble. Painted architraved margins, with bracketted cills. Quoin strips. Painted margins to W elevation. Ashlar mullions.
S (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: dentilled cornice and angled tablet to pilastered doorpiece at centre; deep-set panelled door with fanlight. Tripartite windows in bays to left and right at ground floor. Window at centre at 1st floor; bipartitie windows in bays to left and right. Modern timber gate adjoined to left.
W ELEVATION: M-gabled. Window to left and paired windows to right at 1st floor to left gable; 4 windows at ground floor, continued onto cat-slide extension to N. Right gable blank.
E ELEVATION: M-gabled and blank. Narrow passage formed with house to right.
Plate glass glazing in sash and case windows. Red sandstone coped skews, continued across gablehead. Rubble and granite gablehead stacks, with red sandstone band, to E and W. Graded grey slates. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Octagonal cans.
