Description

Early 19th century, traditional single storey cottage with byre linear to north gable and 2 ancillary buildings nearby to north. Mainly dry stone construction; single cemented and white-washed chimney to south gable: traces of limewash to east front: wide eaves ("tobhta"): piended thatched roofs.

Statement of Interest

Original dwelling renovated and re-roofed in substantially traditional fashion in 1981. Adjoining byre demolished and now thatched dwelling in substantially traditional style built on site.
