Closeburn-New Cumnock line; John Miller engineer, opened
28.10.1850. Railway viaduct, 4 round arches carrying double
track across small glen; (further) single skewed segmental
arch to south, over unclassified road. Stugged pinkish
ashlar; rusticated voussoirs; bullfaced piers; moulding below
coped parapet; outer pilaster strips. Arch over roadway
similarly treated, but plainer, and with wide abutments.
