Late 18th/early 19th century 2-storey 3-bay country house
altered and enlarged circa 1840 with asymmetrical rear and
flanking wings. West elevation: mostly red or pink ashlar
(remainder of house mostly painted rubble); entrance in
inner pedimented bay; painted Roman Doric doorpiece
approached by steps; recessed panelled door with decorative
fanlight. 2-storey canted windows in outer bays (lying-pane
glazing to right); band between floors; eaves band; end
stacks with diamond flues; piended and platform roof;
recessed flanking wings also 2 storeys 2-bay left wing,
single bay right wing, sdquare rear stair turret, with
cupola, between 2 tall additions, these linked at ground
by low porch. Stacks mostly with diamond flues; all roofed
with graded slates.
