Description

Later 18th century. 2-storey 4-bay house. Roughcast walling, painted margins, basecourse and angles. Long elevation, central low door between bays.All windows single light, deeply set sash and case windows, plate glass glazing. Sandstone skews and ridge, hefty end stacks, thackstanes, graded slate roof in poor condition. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

Statement of Interest

Part of Garlieston B group. This house is important as it presents the best survival of 18-century style of building in Garlieston. Along with Nos 15, 16 and 17 it gives the character of Garlieston before 19th- century improvements.
