Ruins of mid-later 12th century transitional Cistercian
abbey. Most of the chancel, N and S transept survives to
almost full-height, including clerestorey windows. All
building faced in dressed ashlar nave and cloisters only
visible by foundations, late 13th-century arcaded front to
chapter house with good decorative detail. Many early grave
slabs set in to chapter-house floor.
