Built approximately 1732-6. Roadbridge, 3 segmental arches (approximately 10m + 13m +10m) over River Esk (wider inner arch). Rubble-built; pointed cutwaters either side and parapet coping all ashlar: parapet and roadway slightly ramped, former splayed at approaches. Concrete abutment repairs on N bank.
One of the bridges for which William Luckup in 1717 made "schem's and estimats".
Described in OLD STATISTICAL ACCOUNT as "built about 50 years ago..." (pub 1794).
