Description

Quadrangular churchyard containing site of old parish
church, Johnstone Mausoleum by Robert Adam (listed
separately) and many good 17th-19th century stone monuments
including monument said to be cut by Thomas Telford in
memory of his father and brother; Greek revival Irvine tomb
chest with samll Doric columns at angles; headstones with
good late 17th/early 18th artisan sculpture with classical
details. Rubble-built ashlar coped walls, gate at N end
of E and of W walls; ball-finialed square gatepiers.
