Description

1730/50 alterations and additions mostly first half of 19th
century. 2-storey house. Harled, with ashlar margins and
dressings all whitewashed.
ORIGINAL HOUSE: long rectangular plan (probably all one build
though possibly 3 + 3 bays), either 5 or 6 bays, with
chamfered margins, upper windows linked to wide eaves band;
eaves cornice; straight skews; end and central axial stacks
rebuilt, paired diamond flues. Full-height piended central
wing added at S, porch in W re-entrant angle; recessed wing
on E gable; rear (N) wing at E end of N wall. Modern
conservatory abuts W gable.
