Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey house and former shop. Painted rubble. Painted margins. S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 5 bays (1-1-3) at ground floor; door to left of centre, with modern timber pedimented doorcase, double-leaf boarded door and bathroom-glazed fanlight; window in bay to left; 3 windows to right and right of centre (former shop windows, window at centre formerly door to shop). Window to 3 bays at 1st floor.

E ELEVATION: window to right at ground floor. Window to left at 1st floor; moulded panel for former shop sign below.

N ELEVATION: tall stair window to right of centre at 1st floor; square window flanking to left; window to left and right. Window to right at ground floor. Flat-roofed outbuilding adjoined to left and centre, with door to right and 2 windows to centre and left to N, and window to W return.

W ELEVATION: lean-to adjoined to left and centre, with door to N, and window to W and to S.

Modern glazing; margin-pane glazing to stair window. Wallhead stacks at centre to E and W. Small purple slates to piended roof. Decorative cast-iron gutter fixtures. Octagonal cans.

Single storey former stables to NE, now converted for residential use; outer wall to E incorporated in rubble boundary wall to road.
