Description

Additions and re-modelling of earlier house, Thomas

Mackenzie, Elgin, architect; dated 1854. Symmetrical S facing

2-storey, 3-bay house. Harled with tooled ashlar margins

and dressings. Centre projecting gabled bay with hoodmoulded

side entrance, centre ground and 1st floor windows and gabled

plaque. Outer bay 1st windows break eaves under finialled

gablets. All ground and centre 1st floor fenestration with

hoodmoulds. Canted window in E return gable; lower 2-storey

3-bay rear wing; 1st floor windows breaking eaves as principal elevation.

Paired diamond coped end stacks; similar group of ridge

stacks at rear; slate roofs.
