Description

Circa 1850, possible Thomas Mackenzie. Single and 2-storey
range of farm buildings and cottages. Whitewashed rubble
and margins, tooled ashlar dressings.
STEADING: U-plan range opening to E and infilled with later
covered cattle court. Symmetrical centre 2-storey, 3-bay
block in S elevation with crowstepped centre finialled
gablet.
Lower 2-storey byre range to W and rubble range right with
modern sliding doors. Range extends to N, with 2 W facing
basket arched cart bays.
Further 2 buildings run N/S, at S comprising 4 basket
arched cart-bays of differing heights in W elevation.
Attenuated ball finials, crowsteps, slate roofs.

Statement of Interest

Nos 1 and 2, Home Farm Cottages and 'The Bothy' are excluded

from listing due to alterations and additions.
