Description

HOUSE: probably William Robertson, Elgin, 1820-30. E facing
single storey, symmetrical 3-bay house (fronting earlier
L-plan dwelling). Harled main house with tooled ashlar
margins and dressings, rubble rear, whin-stone base course.
Centre bracketted corniced entrance in shallow advanced and
gabled bay; margined wide outer angle pilasters linked to
windows and gabled entrance bay by continuous ashlar
eaves/lintel band; single centre window in N and S gables;
12-pane glazing. Pair rear coped and margined wallhead
stacks; piended slate roof.
Wing with entrance in S elevation masked by modern
conservatory; 4-pane glazing.
Coped ridge and end stacks; slate roof.
STEADING: 19th century, of different builds. 2 parallel
single storey rubble ranges and a third set at right angles
to the others; slate roofs.
