Description

An interesting Georgian house, circa 1770, in wooded policies, probably built by Alexander Telfer who later sold it to Captain Aeneas MacKay of the East India Company in 1787. Its present appearance is much the same as the illustration in Chambers History of Peeblesshire and the

symmetrical plan and interior features fully descirbed in the

Inventory.
