Erected in 1798 by Sir John Gibson-Carmichael. A restrained classical mansion with centre 3 storey block and pedimented slight projection, flanking 1 storey wings terminated in pedimented pavilions. In 1905, Castlecraig was purchased by James Mann who remodelled the house to the designs of Sir John James Burnet. The building is now used as a residential school.
