Possibly 17th or early 18th century. Circular windmill tower
with vaulted base extending S; now roofless. Rubble, squared
for doorways and small opening above. Band course at two
thirds height with later extension above, collapsed at S.
Marked as pigeon house on Armstrong's map 1778, and dovecot on 1853 OS, however no evidence exists of flight holes. Said to resemble ancient tower of Egilsay church and resembles mills at Dysart and Dunbarney.
