Description

Thomas Telford, 1827. 2-storey, 3-bay house with later 19th
century single storey and attic rear wing. All harled with
contrasting painted tooled ashlar margins; porches set back
at east and west gables, with entrance in east which is
raised to link with later addition. 12-pane glazing; coped
end stacks; artificial slates to main dwelling, slated at
rear.

Statement of Interest

Former Church of Scotland Manse. One of 2 standard

Parliamentary manse designs. Rear additions said to date from

1870.
