House; earlier 19th century, substantial symmetrical house, 2-storeys over raised basement, 3 wide bays; flanking single bays set back on either side, flush with rear elevation.
All coursed tooled red rubble with polished ashlar dressings. Centre projecting pedimented porch with angle pilasters, approached by flight steps with decorative cast-iron balusters over-sailing raised basement; fanlight, pilastered door jambs, panelled door.
Raised margins to all windows; 9- and 12-pane glazing; band course at ground floor level links wings with centre block.
Contemporary 3-storey wing at centre rear, with later dormerhead and modern timber porch. Panelled corniced end and rear stacks (renewed at east gable); piended slate roofs. Pair panelled square ashlar gate piers with pyramidal caps; drystone garden wall.
