Circa 1800. 2-storey house over raised basement, symmetrical
frontage of 3 bays, the outer bays bowed full height. Harled
with contrasting painted tooled ashlar margins. Centre door
approached by flight of steps oversailing raised basement
with decorative cast-iron railings. Late 19th century
bracketted timber gabled canopy; rectangular fanlight with
intersecting astragals; 9-panel door with fielded panels.
Tripartites in outer bays in ground and 1st floors, shorter
in 1st floor; 4- and 6-pane glazing in sashes. Tall shaped
end wallhead stacks; piended slate roof. Interior; moulded
ceiling cornices in entrance hall and ground floor rooms.
