Circa earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan farmhouse with lower wings to rear. Rubble, ashlar dressings now concrete rendered and stugged, slate roof. 12-pane sash and case windows, deep concrete wallhead course, gabled dormerheaded windows to 1st floor, end stacks.
S ELEVATION: door with astragalled fanlight and slated half-piended canopy porch at slightly advanced, gabled centre bay, window at 1st floor, window to ground and 1st floors left and right.
E AND W GABLES: blank.
N ELEVATION: half-piended wing to right with further lower half-piended wing, various windows; gable to left with further lower half-piended brick addition, door and various windows.
INTERIOR: not seen.
The group value of this farmhouse with Longforgan Farm Steading and the Spar Shop (formerly Longforgan Farmhouse) is an important factor in its listing. There is a cheese press by the east gable of the house.
