Description

Earlier 19th century; single storey E wing mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan house with addition and adjoining outbuildings. Rubble, rough-hewn ashlar quoins, ashlar dressings, stugged red ashlar dressings to E bay, slate roof. Lying-pane casement windows to S elevation, chamfered and droved jambs, hoodmoulds to ground floor; plate glass sash and case windows to W gable; bipartite, 12-lying-pane sash and case window with chamfered jambs to E bay. Deep bracketted eaves; corniced, linked ashlar stacks, yellow brick stack with oversailing coping to E bay.

S ELEVATION: 2-leaf boarded door at centre with glazed panels to top, gabled porch with rustic columns and seats, slate roof, window to left and right, 3 windows to 1st floor, (outer windows gabled); single storey bay to right, bipartite window, right return gable blank.

W GABLE: window to ground and 1st floor left, pentice-roofed bay slightly recessed to left.

N ELEVATION: mostly marked by barn; 2 windows to left return gable, bay recessed to left blank.

INTERIOR: not seen.

BYRE AND BARN: single storey, rectangular-plan byre. Rubble construction, slate roof; bracketted eaves. Door to centre flanked by 2 windows, 2 rooflights. Modern garage adjoining to left. Barn adjoining to right, slightly recessed; vertically-boarded timber construction, base partly concrete, corrugated metal roof.
