Description

Circa 1879. Single storey and attic, rectangular-plan, kennels and bothy. Dark rubble construction, ashlar dressings. Some 4-pane sash and case windows; bracketted eaves, plain bargeboards with rounded ends; large half-timbered dormer with tripartite lattice-paned window and decorative bargeboards to S elevation; 2 brick ridge stacks.

S ELEVATION: door to centre with multi-pane fanlight and adjoining multi-pane windows, window to left, further door with fanlight to right, prominent half-timbered dormer above.

W GABLE: 2 windows, door to right.

N ELEVATION: large door to centre, door to left and right, window to far right, nepus gable with hopper window.

E GABLE: blank, forming part of E boundary wall.

BOUNDARY WALL: flat-coped rubble boundary wall.

INTERIOR: not seen.

Lauriston House (Rossie Estate gamekeeper?s house) is dated 1879. There are 2 concrete-walled dog runs adjoining the kennels to the south.
