Earlier to mid 19th century. Classical double villa.
Grey tooled ashlar frontage, rubble sides and rear; base
and 1st floor cill courses; eaves course and blocking
course to NW; ashlar mullions; chamfered arrises to
windows.
NW ELEVATION: 5 symmetrical bays. 2 small, narrow
windows at ground at centre; doorways flanking with
shallow pediments, on decorative stone consoles; deep-
set panelled doors with plate glass fanlights; 1st floor
windows above. Canted window at ground to each outer
bay, with leaded half-piend roof; tripartite windows
above at 1st floor.
SE ELEVATION: gabled projection at ground at centre; 1st
floor windows in bays flanking centre.
NE ELEVATION: largely blank; narrow 1st floor window
off-centre to left.
SW ELEVATION: bays to right advanced slightly, with 2
1st floor windows; bays to left blank.
Lying- and horizontal-pane glazing patterns in sash and
case windows, some 4-pane and plate glass. M-shaped
piend roof; grey slates. Corniced wallhead and mutual
gable stacks, some repaired and rendered; original cans
retained.
GATEWAYS AND RETAINING WALLS: ashlar pedestrian gateway,
with blocking course, flanking each outer bays, and
adjoined to retaining walls. Harl-pointed rubble walls,
with semi-circular coping to higher sections, ashlar
coping to low walls at NW.
