Description

Style of Campbell Walker of Edinburgh. Circa 1860. Single
storey lodge. Banded, interlocking polygonal masonry, all
bull-faced. Gabled porch (rope-moulded round-headed doorway)
in re-entrant angle between west and south gables; canted
window in latter, swept-roofed window to right, 3 lights
above quatrefoil panels. Canted-headed windows. Blank panel
on east gable. Banded, tall apex stack: slate roof with
fish-scale banding.
Quadrant walls also in polygonal intersecting masonry with
crenellated cope: banded and fluted square gatepiers with
ball finials on raised plinths: decorative wrought-iron
gates.
