Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay farmhouse with
asymmetrical ranges to rear (west), cobbled courtyard
steading beyond. House: squared rubble with ashlar dressings;
east elevation: depressed-arched door in central gabled
(ashlar) porch; openings all hood-moulded; single casement
window, other windows sashes with 12-pane glazing; saw-
toothed skews; corniced end stacks; single deeply-recessed bay of
rear range to right./Asymmetrical courtyard elevation.
Steading: 3 adjoining ranges in U-plan; whitewashed rubble;
west range a tall barn with 2 segmental-arched cartways (1
partially blocked), outer doors at each level, and modern
forestair; north range has axial roof ventilators and full
length long barn added to roadside elevation; south range
includes 2-storey former bothy at east.
Mostly roofed with graded slates.
