Description

Early 19th century. Pair of single storey, 3-bay cottages on ground falling to S. Random rubble (Merkland Cottage painted) with droved ashlar dressings.

W ELEVATION: each cottage symmetrical with door to centre bay, that to Merkland Cottage with letterbox fanlight, that to Denview with plate glass fanlight, and windows in flanking bays.

Plate glass glazing in timber sash and case windows to Merkland Cottage, modern glazing to Denview. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with thackstanes and cans. Ashlar-coped skew with square skewputt to Denview S.
