Description

Dated 1710. Stables; 4 ranges - not necessarily all

contemporary (eg S range perhaps an addition) - built around

cobbled quadrangular court. 1 and 2-storey ranges, but with

uniform eaves level. Rubble-built with ashlar dressings;

whitewashed, with contrasting painted margins; slated roofs. Depressed-arched tall pend on E range, upper (loft) openings

almost square; W range with large openings and round-headed

window has individual piended roof: S range altered with

tearoom/shop at ground, domestic flat ("Elmwood") above.
