Later 18th-mid 19th century. Former stables. Essentially 2
long parallel ranges built around partly cobbled rectangular
courtyard. All whitewashed rubble and ashlar dressings.
Single storey with lofts (several roof levels).
EAST RANGE: 3-bay (?heightened) tall block to S with weathervane-finialed pyramidal roof and small-paned glazing;
built against bank; banked wide opening to S; originally 3 segmental-arched wide doors to courtyard, those in outer bays
now square-headed windows; 3 windows above. Low wing with
N-facing cartshed returns to partly enclose courtyard at N.
W range all square-headed openings, single cart opening to
courtyard and loft doors with gabled dormerheads. All roofs
slated. Courtyard partly enclosed at S by ashlar-coped wall.
Boreland House and triple-gabled range of outbuildings to N
are excluded from listing.
