Earlier 19th century asymmetrical single storey lodge; circa
1880 gatepiers and curved low quadrants. Rubble built with
ashlar dressings.
LODGE: (may incorporate a plain 3-bay cottage) 2 plain
recessed bays right, 2 asymmetrically advanced bays left, the
inner with main roof swept over, window in re-entrant angle
(facing road) with 5 narrow round-headed lights, wide window
to driveway. Otherwise sash windows with 4-pane glazing
pattern. Corniced end stacks with projecting chimney
breasts, slate roofs.
GATEWAY: 4 corniced, square ball-finialed piers, those
flanking driveway, taller. Decorative cast-iron gates.
Quadrants with iron railings.
