Statement of Interest

Ecclesiastical building in use as such. Built by the Duke of Buccleuch to serve both his household and the local episcopal community.

Probably a stock design; eg. compare the demolished St Bride's church Beaconsfield Road, Glasgow - illus. in Kelvinside, 1894, where it is described as "recently erected".
