1915. Square cast-iron drinking fountain with chamfered
angles; water spouts to each face with projecting
semi-circular basins below, surmounted by painted stone
female figure bearing urn. Stands on square, stepped platform
flanked by two cast-iron stools (formerly below drinking
basins?) inscribed STEP UP BAIRNS.
A dedication plaque on two sides of the fountain notes "Presented by Robert Grant M.D. to his native village as a memento of his boyhood, 1915".
