Description

Joseph W Mitchell, 1828. 2-storey, octagonal ashlar tollhouse
with single storey, 2 wide bay (originally single bay only)
rubble wing extending north with 2 modern windows in SE
elevation. Slated veranda projects around ground floor of
octagon, supported on simple wooden hexagonal columns. 3-
light windows in ground and 1st floors; lattice-pane glazing
mostly survives; 8 sided piended slate roof, with deep eaves
and centre cluster of 4 (renewed) stacks. 2 modern windows
slapped in east elevation of wing.

Served Telford's Conon Bridge, now demolished.
