Description

Mid to later 18th century. 2-storey, 3-bay millhouse
with lower later addition to S and altered mill
buildings adjoined to NW at right angles. Red sandstone
rubble with grey harling to E front and side elevations,
concrete dressings.
E ELEVATION: windows grouped towards centre, with
central door flanked by windows, window to each bay
under eaves at 1st floor. 2 lower 2-storey bays to outer
left with door and square windows. Piend-roofed
outbuildings to outer right, at end of mill range to NW.
W ELEVATION: small, low windows at ground, with stair
window above. Modern addition to lower bays,
intercepting main house. Tall modern roof to mill range
projecting from right corner. Modern window. Grey
slates to main house, with concrete tiles to lower 2-
storey bays. Steeply pitched roof with harled end
stacks.

Listed C(S) despite modern additions for the early

form. Humbie Mill Bridge to S is listed separately.
