Early 19th century. Symmetrical single storey lodge
(originally 2 separate lodges, but linked circa 1900).
Harled, with polished ashlar margins, long and short
window dressings and pilastered and pedimented outer bays.
East elevation: 6 bays, all openings blocked. Bold outer
bays with recessed round-headed windows with pilastered
jambs, 4 inner bays with 2 doors and 2 central windows. Outer
bays are identical on west elevation; later 19th
century central extension door in lean-to porch. Corniced
circular stacks and slate roofs.
Railway and realigned main road cut through original drive to
Kelburn house circa 1885 isolating this lodge.
