Description

Dated 1906. Asymmetrical 2-storey and attic corner shop
and dwelling; rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. Wide
shop entrance in canted angle with moulded jambs and with
3-windowed oriel above. Wide shop window in ground floor
of Main Street elevation, with further slightly smaller
shop window left. Near centre tripartite in 1st floor
(of Main Street elevation) with bipartite to left, and
lunette in attic gable above; exaggerated scroll skewputts
to gable flanked by single swept dormers.
Simple return elevation to Fountain Street with ground
floor shop window, and single storey and attic, 2-bay
rear wing with entrance and large piended dormer breaking
wallhead.
Original glazing to shop windows with multi-pane glazing
in upper portion; multi-pane glazing in upper sashes of
dwelling and in lunette; original down-pipes initialled
AA and dated 1906; corniced end stacks; slate roofs.
