Description

Early 19th century, hay/threshing/winnowing barn of
Lochalsh/Kintail type. Long elevations east/west. Coursed
rubble, square corners; later wooden shingle roof and upper
portion of gable ends; long louvred side and gable end vents;
11 timber roof trusses, all collared and pegged; 2 pairs of
which (over side vents) are scarfed crucks with joints at
wallhead height. Each joint nicely pegged with 3 wooden nails
nd 1 iron bolt; small wooden spur to each cruck. Winnowing
doorways at centre with vent over.
