Description

David Mackintosh, 1888-9. Simple rectangular 4-bay church: rubble, ashlar margins. Lancet windows to flanks, rose window to W gable,

3-light window to E all with geometrically patterned coloured leaded glass. Gabled porch at E end of north wall with simple cross finial, double leafed door within lancet opening. Slate roofs, ashlar skews, small apex stack to W gable.

INTERIOR: exposed rubble walls; panelled pulpit is not original and shows influences of J J Burnet.

Statement of Interest

Feu charter granted 1889. Church and surrounding land sold 1989. Not to be confused with the near contemporary former Free Church to the north.
