MacNab, Oban, architect. Nave dated 1842. Chancel added
1888. Tall cruciform rubble church with tooled ashlar
dressings. Orientated to east.
Principal entrance in centre of west gable in pointed-
headed hoodmoulded doorway with double leaf door. Paired
lancets above under continuos hoodmould, with small blind
lancet above. Triple lancets under continuous hoodmould
light east gable, with paired lancets in north and south
chancel elevations. Similar lights in transept gables
and in nave; bellcote at west gable apex; apex crosses at east;
small apex coped stacks (dummy at north) to transept apeces;
plain and sawtooth skews; steeply pitched local slate roofs.
Interior: plain plaster walled interior with contrasting
painted hoodmoulds to chancel and transept arches and to
windows; gilded reredos; panelled and simply detailed choir
Ecclesiastical building in use as such. Replaced an earlier
Episcopal Church.
