Description

BEE BOLE WALL: circa 6'52 high, rubble boundary walls, semicircular and flat coping. Square of 4 stone bee boles recessed in wall to W of house (see notes), to garden front.

Statement of Interest

The bee bole wall is joined to the W elevation of Newgardens house, a single storey and attic and 2-storey irregular plan house, probably 18th century in origin. There is a wallmounted panel on the S range of the house, dated 1764, adorned with swag and foliage, and the initials 'AP.BB' (?).
